Special back-to-back-to-back meetings!
As per discussion on the Yahoo Groups board and due to the anomalous months of May and June, the former which has five Tuesdays and the latter which starts on a Wednesday, thereby relegating our "First Tuesday" meeting to being the last Tuesday of May, we are having an "extra" meeting on 7 June (the actual first Tuesday of the month) as well as the 31 May and the usual third Wednesday meeting on the 18 June. Well, at least I'll be at the extra Tuesday meetup... :oP

Just a Funny...
Hitched from the UK Knitters:
http://missoula.bigsky.net/stadler/page0008.html
It generates a fibre-lover related name. It's quite random and will actually continue to generate names after the initial entry and will generate different names for the same name entered twice... so if you don't like your first result, keep clicking!

Important Question for the Knitterati
Hello everyone,
It was suggested by Sally this evening that we might wish to form a yahoo group to replace our old meetup board. This is would allow mass mailings out to people and give a greater degree of flexibility for those using the board. We would keep this board and have a link to direct people to this new group.
I have created a group, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/leedsknitterati and an accompanying email address (leedsknitterati@yahoogroups.com) based on this suggestion. We can then do our best to set it up like it was at Meetup. More moderators and the like can be set up-- I am not trying to take over as organiser but thought it would be good to have a group set up so we can all have a look at it before we make a decision. I have put a link to the new group below.
If it is thought to be a good suggestion, please join the new group. If you think it is a rubbish idea and that we should continue in blog form only, please leave your comments in the comments section in order to gauge opinion.
Thanks,
Erin

Reminder: Knitting Meetup Tomorrow (3 May) Evening!
Hi Everyone,
This is just a reminder that the meetup starts at 7pm tomorrow (3 May) in the second floor coffeeshop of Borders (on Briggate).
I noticed the other day that they have the newest editons of Simply Knitting and Interweave Knits on the shelves, plus we have a poster advertising our group down by the knitting books. It appears that Borders is having a "knitting book suggestion of the month"-- this month it appears to be Stitch and Bitch Nation.
Hope to see you all there!

For members switching over from the Meetup board...
Just to let you know that you can rsvp by clicking on the "comment" link below the post for the event. You do not have to log into blogger in order to do this. Please remember to add your name to your post (first names only if you wish, or your meetup identity) name so we can get an idea of who is coming!
Also, we will have to let "Simply Knitting" know that our address has changed-- did anyone notice we warranted two separate entries?
